Portale is operated by Dan Ish Shalom, Ben Yehuda 157, Tel Aviv, Israel. This policy describes the Portale iPhone app and its public website. Contact hello@portale.tv with privacy questions.

What the app uses

The app requests its film catalog from portale.tv. It streams video, audio, captions, and images through media delivery providers, including Mux and the image hosts referenced by the catalog. It uses Apple Maps to display story locations. Those services may receive technical connection data, such as your IP address and device or request information, when the app connects to them.

The app saves viewing progress, caption preferences, and viewed-story status on your device so you can continue watching. This local information is not tied to a Portale account. The current free app does not offer account registration or purchases.

Website and administration

The public website serves catalog and support content. Its restricted administration area uses authentication cookies for authorized editors; the iPhone app does not use that admin login. Hosting and service providers may process ordinary server logs to deliver and protect the service.

Sharing and retention

We use service providers to host the catalog, deliver media, and display maps. We do not sell information collected through the app. Information saved locally remains on your device until you remove the app or clear its data. Service providers may retain technical logs according to their own policies.

Your choices

You can turn captions on or off in the player. You can remove locally saved app information by deleting the app. For questions or requests about information associated with your use of Portale, email hello@portale.tv.
